What We Believe

We Believe in One God,
in Three Persons

We believe in one true God who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully God, equal in power and glory, and perfectly united in purpose. God has revealed Himself to us in this way so that we may know Him personally and experience His love, grace, and truth.

Scripture:

  • Matthew 28:19 – “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

  • 2 Corinthians 13:14 – “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”

We Believe God the Father Is the Creator of All Things

We believe God the Father is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. He is omnipotent (all-powerful), omniscient (all-knowing), and omnipresent (present everywhere at all times). Nothing exists apart from His will, and nothing escapes His care. He is sovereign, faithful, and deeply involved in His creation.

Scripture:

  • Genesis 1:1 – “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”

  • Psalm 139:7–10 – “Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence?”

  • Jeremiah 32:17 – “Ah, Lord GOD! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power…”

We Believe in Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God

We believe Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is fully God and fully man. Out of love for us, He stepped out of perfection, lived a sinless life, and willingly suffered a brutal death on the cross in our place. Through His sacrifice, our sins are forgiven, and through His resurrection, we have victory over sin and death.

Scripture:

  • John 1:1, 14 – “The Word was God… And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.”

  • Hebrews 4:15 – “One who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.”

  • Isaiah 53:5 – “He was pierced for our transgressions… and with his wounds we are healed.”

We Believe the Holy Spirit was sent to empower believers

We believe the Holy Spirit was sent to live within believers, empowering and equipping us to spread the Gospel. The Holy Spirit convicts, guides, comforts, and transforms us, giving us boldness to live out our faith and serve others for the glory of God.

Scripture:

  • Acts 1:8 – “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses…”

  • John 14:26 – “The Helper, the Holy Spirit… will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”

We Believe Salvation Is a Gift, not something to be earned

We believe salvation is a gift from God, made possible by Jesus’ death on the cross. It cannot be earned, deserved, or achieved through our own efforts. Salvation is freely offered by grace to all who place their faith in Jesus Christ alone, restoring our relationship with God.

Scripture:

  • Ephesians 2:8–9 – “For by grace you have been saved through faith… not a result of works.”

  • Romans 6:23 – “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

We Believe in the Authority
of Scripture

We believe that all Scripture is God-breathed and inspired by God. The Bible is the true and trustworthy Word of God, without error in its original writings, and the final authority for faith, life, and conduct. Through Scripture, God reveals His character, His will, and His plan of redemption, and it serves as the foundation for everything we believe and teach.

Scripture:

  • 2 Timothy 3:16–17 – “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.”

  • 2 Peter 1:20–21 – “No prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation… but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”

  • Psalm 119:105 – “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

We Believe We Are Called to Live Transformed Lives

We believe that once we place our faith in Jesus, we are called to be baptized as an outward expression of an inward transformation. As followers of Christ, we are called to live changed lives—on and off the field—reflecting God’s love, character, and truth, and pointing others to Jesus through our words and actions.

Scripture:

  • Romans 6:4 – “We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death… so we too might walk in newness of life.”

  • 2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.”

  • Matthew 5:16 – “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father…”
